Nick Shiambouros returns with a couple of decent priced selections from the all-weather meeting at Lingfield...
"I think he is sitting on a big effort and is attractively priced at [7.8] on the exchange"
I am going to take a chance with Elhafei in this maiden.
This Speightstown colt was an expensive purchase at the sales last year for good reason. His dam was Listed place, and is related to multiple Group 1 winner Albanova. The Gosden stable is still in good form, even at this late stage of the year and should be ready to do himself justice. At present he is trading at [6.8] on the exchange which is more than fair.
Stablemate Rhode Island is much shorter in the market at [3.15]. This half-brother to Kingsgate Native finished fifth to My Lord And Master on debut at Nottingham. There is enough speed in the pedigree, but needs to improve a fair bit to take this.
Outer Space should run well at a decent price in this claimer.
This gelding put in a solid effort last time out when finishing fifth to Pearl Spectre at Chelmsford. He ran on strongly inside the final furlong, and finished the race with good energy. He won off a mark of 86 earlier this year, and looks well treated on the evidence of his latest run. I think he is sitting on a big effort and is attractively priced at [7.8] on the exchange.
Unforgiving Minute is the favourite at [3.2]. He won a similar event at Wolverhampton in September and comes in to this race in good order. I respect his chances but his price is a little thin to say the least.
