Queen Anne - 12:10 Turffontein

Queen Anne arrives her with a list of placed form thanks to seven from her eleven starts and three in a row now, with a close up three-quarter length third at Vaal over this trip last time out. This looks a far weaker contest on paper and if the daughter of Fort Wood can even repeat that effort it should be more than enough to see Queen Anne come home in front this afternoon for trainer Paul Peter, who has his string in fine fettle.

Go Thuli Go - 12:45 Turffontein

Go Thuli Go is a typical Sean Tarry filly in that she improved hand over first for her debut sixth at Vaal (when weak in the market) with a far better length and a half second here on the inner course over a fraction further than she faces here. Lyle Hewitson is a Champion jockey in the making and rides the three-year-old again today, and with more likely to come with experience, Go Thuli Go is the one to be on here.

Carmalita - 13:20 Turffontein

Carmalita was backed as if defeat was not an option on her debut at Vaal and sent off a 41/10 chance at the off, but ran in to the more experienced Mohallela and had to settle for second place, beaten less than half a length at the line. The third won next time out to boost that form and with plenty of improvement almost guaranteed after just the one start, it will be a surprise if Carmalita fails to go one better here.
