Nick Shiambouros returns with two selections from Wolverhampton and Pontefract...
"She returned to Royal Ascot and finished a respectable sixth to Aljaazi in the Duke Of Cambridge"
Filly to strike for Hughes
I really like the look of Rosamour in this novice stakes.
This filly created a favourable impression on debut when finishing third to Quiet Waters at Nottingham last month. She missed the break, but put in some good work in the closing stages and was not beaten all that far. I think she is open to a fair bit of improvement and should appreciate the extra yardage. At present she is trading at [7.2] on the exchange.
Simon's Smile is the favourite at [2.78] on the exchange. He finished a closing third to Xtara at Carlisle on debut and is also open to improvement. He is the main danger, and it is no surprise to see him trading at this price.
Promising primed for a big Run
Promising Run should go close in this interesting Listed event.
This mare had a productive winter in Dubai winning two Group 2 races, and not disgracing herself in Group 1 company. She returned to Royal Ascot and finished a respectable sixth to Aljaazi in the Duke Of Cambridge. I think she will find this company more to her liking, and is reasonably priced at [4.0] on the exchange. She does have to carry a penalty, but I feel she is up to the task.
Shenanigans looks like the main danger. She finished third to Wilamina in a Group 3 at Epsom and comes in to this race in good order. At present she is trading at [2.84] on the exchange.
