Timeform pick out three bets from Vaal on Tuesday.
"...has plenty of speed which he will use to his advantage..."
Timeform on Alpine Glacier
Agent Kay is the highest rated of these, and he has plenty of form in the book that suggests he can come home in front at the ninth attempt. He has finished placed on his last five starts, beaten less than a length three times, and although his latest run wasn't his best effort, trainer Scott Kenny looks to have found a suitable opportunity for him here.
Tortola is not the most obvious selection after her latest run, but she was only beaten five and a half lengths after meeting trouble in running at a crucial stage. She is better judged on her two and three-quarter length third to Tigerlace at Turffontein in February, a race that is working out well (winner, second, seventh, and thirteenth all won next time out), and a repeat of that effort should suffice here.
Alpine Glacier may be a bit of value here with every chance that the promising Buffalo Bill Cody will need the run after a long absence, and as the selection arrives here on the back of two wins out of three in 2018, there is every reason to think he can score here. Trainer Stanley Ferreira has his string ticking over nicely, and the son of Var has plenty of speed which he will use to his advantage.
