Timeform pick out three bets from Kenilworth on Tuesday.
Captain Ram - Kenilworth 12:50
Captain Ram already had some reasonable efforts on his CV but topped them all last time out here when stepped up in trip to this course and distance, to be beaten a nose on the nod by Blow In The Box early last month. Given close to a two month break to recover from those efforts, Brett Crawford's colt looks to have an acceptable opportunity here and one that Captain Ram can win if he repeats his better form.
Wine Festival - Kenilworth 13:25
Wine Festival has been cleverly placed by leading trainer Joey Ramsden as she receives weight from her elders in this all aged fillies and mares maiden. Her two races so far have seen her finish third on both occasions, the first over six furlongs here when sent off an unfancied 36/1 chance, and the latest over course and distance when two and three quarter lengths adrift of Midnight Moonlight. With the first race working out well (one winner and five places have come out of that maiden), Wine Festival looks way ahead of these, and can come home at the head of affairs today.
Cape Quarter - Kenilworth 16:20
Cape Quarter is in the capable hands of trainer Vaughan Marshall and will be ridden by Craig Zackey for the first time this afternoon. A son of Count Dubois out of an Elusive Quality mare he has only had the eight starts, winning one of them here over six furlongs on his debut, and placing once since. Last time out over course and distance he finished an acceptable four and a quarter length sixth after failing to get a run when needed, and off a handicap mark of three pounds lower looks to have a sporting chance.
