Timeform's US team advise three bets for Saturday's American racing action...
"The last time she was down against this grade of opponent at Del Mar last autumn she won a maiden claimer."
Aqueduct race 2, 17:49 GMT - Lay Aix En Provence
Aix En Provence in the second race at Aqueduct is taking a big step up in class and looks to have a fair bit to find on form. The veteran mare turned in her best performance for some time when making all at Laurel last time, but dominating this much deeper field with more pace-pushers than she faced at Laurel won't be as easy and she looks too short in the betting at a forecast 3.5. Donita's Ruler is possibly a big price at 7 but Parx form doesn't always carry across to NYRA tracks for a number of reasons and a lay looks the better call.
Aqueduct race 6, 19:48 GMT - Lay My Savannah Belle
There looks to be another decent value lay at Aqueduct in the shape of My Savannah Belle in the sixth race. This six-furlong minor stakes affair has attracted a decent field, most of whom have achieved more than My Savannah Belle who has plenty to find on both Timeform US speed figures and Timeform ratings. Her form has stalled somewhat after a promising beginning and this race is no easier than her last two races, while her usual rear-of-midfield position is likely to be a disadvantage in a race with little pace.
Penn National race 6, 00:16 GMT - Back Sunday Stroll
Sunday Stroll in the sixth race at Penn National has been running respectably in recent starts, not least in view of Murray Rojas's charge being slightly in over her head in those races, but the last time she was down against this grade of opponent at Del Mar last autumn she won a maiden claimer. Forecast favourite Weekend Wedding looks to have a fair amount to find on form and might not find the outside draw a help either.
