Timeform's US team have found three bets at American venues for Saturday evening...
"Thrown straight into the G2 Remsen here last autumn after making a winning debut in a maiden that was taken off the turf, he showed connections' faith in him wasn't misplaced when winning a G3 contest on the turf at Gulfstream last time, doing well to get up late off a steady pace."
Aqueduct race 5 (20:24 BST) - Eh Cumpari
Eh Cumpari faces a maximum of five rivals in a stakes race over a mile and a sixteenth on the turf in the fifth race at Aqueduct and his Morning Line price doesn't look to reflect his chance. Thrown straight into the G2 Remsen here last autumn after making a winning debut in a maiden that was taken off the turf, he showed connections' faith in him wasn't misplaced when winning a G3 contest on the turf at Gulfstream last time, doing well to get up late off a steady pace. Vision Perfect and Chief Kitten are bonafide contenders but we'd have them priced slightly longer than Eh Cumpari, so he's the bet.
Hawthorne race 5 (21:42 BST) - Yahilwa
Yahilwa has been put up in the weekend US preview as the best bet of the weekend at Hawthorne and is worthy of inclusion here too given the strong case that can be made for the former James Tate-trained filly. She's some excellent form in the context of this race up, behind the likes of Beholder and Warren's Veneda on occasions when she hasn't been winning, and is up against a favourite with better form so it seems on turf and synthetics. Her even-money quote looks too short in the circumstances and Yahilwa is very much the one to be on.
Keeneland race 5 (22:13 BST) - Biz The Nurse
The Grade 2 Elkhorn Stakes at Keeneland is one of those rare contests in North America, a graded contest over a mile and a half on the turf, and it should come as no surprise maybe therefore that the one that catches our eye at the prices is an ex-European. Biz The Nurse has won the Group 1 Gran Premio di Milano in his time and though he may not quite be capable of that level of form nowadays, he warmed up for this with a comfortable win in an allowance race at Gulfstream on his first US start. Dynamic Sky looks to have been trained with this race in mind, but with doubts about Cary Street and Holiday Start for different reasons the forecast 9 for Biz The Nurse looks far too big.
