Timeform pick out three bets from Fontwell Park and Newmarket on Wednesday.
Sleep Easy - Fontwell Park 13:40
Sleep Easy showed himself to be a fairly useful performer on the Flat for Hughie Morrison and took his record in that sphere to three wins from his last four starts when scoring at Haydock last September. He joined the Neil Mulholland yard on the back of that effort and made the perfect start to life over obstacles with a seven-length victory at Stratford in March. That form leaves him 4 lb clear of his nearest rival on Timeform ratings here and - open to more improvement with that initial experience under his belt - Sleep Easy is preferred to Betfair Hurdle-fourth Affaire d'Honneur and can maintain his unbeaten record over hurdles for an in-form yard (four winners from last 20 runners).
As de Mee - Fontwell Park 15:20 (LAY)
As de Mee had some useful form to his name as a novice chaser last season and produced his best effort when finishing six lengths second to the smart Bristol de Mai in the Scilly Isles Novices' Chase at Sandown in February. He looked far from straightforward when ninth of 11 on his most recent outing at that venue in April, though, finding less than looked likely when asked for his effort in the straight and quickly dropping back through the field. Charmix represents a very real danger on his chasing debut here and, although As de Mee has by far the best form on offer, there are enough concerns about his temperament to make him opposable and he should be laid at the current prices.
Je Suis Charlie - Newmarket 16:50
Je Suis Charlie looked in need of the experience when sixth on his racecourse debut at Newbury and showed the benefit of that initial outing with a narrow success at Beverley five weeks ago. He still didn't look the finished article on that occasion, hanging right once hitting the front in the final furlong and making life harder for himself than might have otherwise been the case. He remains open to more after just two starts in his short career to date and, having shaped as if the step up to this longer trip would be in his favour, Je Suis Charlie is fancied to see off the attentions of Sandown winner First Quest and can make a successful handicap debut from what looks a fair mark here.
