Timeform pick out their three best bets in the UK on Wednesday.
"He looks in with an obvious chance of landing a quick-fire double now he is back to form."
Warwick 15:15 - Under The Phone
Under The Phone probably paid the price for making a big move into contention leaving the back-straight at Doncaster last time, but he ultimately shaped as though he should be up to defying this sort of mark on another day, and with his yard now in much better form than they were at the beginning of the jumps season (did not send a winner out over jumps this season until February) he is well worth another chance to confirm his promise as a chaser (bred to take well to fences).
Haydock 15:30 - Portway Flyer
Even under a 7 lb penalty for his win on Saturday at Kempton, Portway Flyer remains well-treated based on his hurdles form (placed in the Silver Plate at Kempton off a BHA mark of 129) and he looks in with an obvious chance of landing a quick-fire double now he is back to form. The dangers look to be Daveron, who is two-from-three over fences and may yet do better, and Some Buckle, who was poor on debut for Paul Nicholls last time, but will surely do better at some stage in this sphere.
Haydock 16:30 - Listen Boy
This race is fairly easy to dissect from the start here, considering five of the runners have a Timeform squiggle, and two more are rated with a ?. That leaves Listen Boy, who has been given a chance by the handicapper here, dropped 1 lb below the mark he defied on his return at Uttoxeter last season, and he looks by far the most solid option in the race for the in-form Nigel Twiston-Davies yard. Listen Boy was below form when last seen at Fakenham in January, but as a horse who has performed well fresh in the past, he is an interesting runner here on the back of an eight-week break.
