Timeform pick out three bets from Perth and Kempton on Wednesday...
"She appeared to be unsuited by the track on that occasion, losing her prominent pitch after becoming unbalanced on the downhill run into the straight..."
Western Home - Perth 14:40
Western Home produced a fair level of form when fifth on her chasing debut at Downpatrick in September and is better than she was able to show on her only subsequent outing over fences at Tramore. She appeared to be unsuited by the track on that occasion, losing her prominent pitch after becoming unbalanced on the downhill run into the straight and unable to recover the ground she had conceded to those in front. She deserves another chance to confirm the promise of her first outing in this sphere and - back on track with a good second over hurdles at Kilbeggan recently - Western Home is fancied to get off the mark over fences with a defeat of last month's C&D winner Amilliontimes.
Taqaareed - Kempton 18:40
Taqaareed made a promising start to her career when fifth at Sandown last month, showing signs of experience throughout the race and never nearer than at the finish. She was forced to wait in rear after a slow exit from the stalls that day and ultimately faced an impossible task in a race where those ridden prominently came to the fore. Nevertheless, she gave the impression she would improve significantly with that initial outing under her belt and - a half-sister to the high-class Taghrooda - Taqaareed is taken to open her account at the second time of asking here. Queen of The Stars has 5 lb to find with the selection on Timeform ratings, but makes most appeal for the forecast spot.
Pecking Order - Kempton 20:40
Pecking Order produced a career-best to shed her maiden tag at Ripon in September, quickening well to lead as the field entered the final furlong and pulling nine lengths clear under minimal pressure in the closing stages. The runner-up has since established himself as a fairly useful performer over hurdles and the handicapper may have underestimated Pecking Order with an opening mark of 87. She remains open to more improvement after just four starts in her short career to date and, although she has a nine month absence from competitive action to contend with here, Pecking Order can establish herself as a useful prospect with a verdict over the similarly unexposed Winter House.
