Timeform pick out three bets from the UK racing on Wednesday...
"He is well drawn and there is a lot to like about his chances from 4 lb higher in the weights considering his progressive profile."
Hard To Handel - 15:35 Carlisle
A tricky puzzle to solve with plenty of chances but Hard To Handel has performed well on all three of his starts so far for David O'Meara, and was perhaps slightly better than the result last time at Newcastle after not getting the clearest of passages inside the final furlong. His second at that track on his penultimate start has worked out well, with the winner and the third both running well next time, and he may well have more to offer now switched back to turf. Hard To Handel's stable mate Jacbequick fended off all challengers from the front at Beverley two starts back and is well drawn to attempt a repeat of that today (worth forgiving his last run at York under a penalty) while Ginger Jack won over this C&D for his former yard from 2 lb lower last season and should also run well.
Masterpaver - 16:40 Carlisle
Masterpaver is thriving for Richard Fahey and was unlucky to be denied the hat-trick at York last time, racing up with a strong pace and only managed to finish second to one who came from further back. The two others who contested the pace early finished 12th and pulled-up, so he did particularly well to finish second and was rallying again late having been headed by the winner. He is well drawn and there is a lot to like about his chances from 4 lb higher in the weights considering his progressive profile. Inniscastle Lad has also been thriving since moving to Ed Dunlop and with a low draw is fancied to run well under Luke Morris, whilst Sindarbar was a useful hurdler for Donald McCain and got off the mark on his first start for Keith Dalgleish in a maiden at Hamilton last time and could be capable of more.
Franco's Secret - 18:50 Kempton
Dream of Summer, Miniaturist and Powderhorn are all pace forcers and this could be set up for one coming from off the pace. This should benefit Dutch Art Dealer and Franco's Secret, who have both been in good form at present. Preference narrowly goes to the latter, who seems a little less risky, and it is hoped they go quick enough up front for him to build on his fast-finishing fourth over this C&D earlier this month. Bastille Day ran well from the front last time (beat Franco's Secret) and if kept out of the initial firing line should also run well.
