Timeform pick out three bets from the UK on Wednesday...
"So Mi Dar remains open to more improvement now stepped up in trip and she can establish herself as a legitimate Oaks contender here..."
So Mi Dar - 14:30 Epsom
The beautifully-bred So Mi Dar made the perfect start to her career when winning on debut at Windsor in October and she was value for more than the official winning margin that day, doing well to run down the better placed runner-up in the closing stages. The fact she did so under a hands and heels ride marks her out as an above average prospect and, although the form of that race hasn't worked out particularly well, the second posted another fairly useful effort in defeat at Newmarket last week. So Mi Dar remains open to more improvement now stepped up in trip and she can establish herself as a legitimate Oaks contender here, with Claudio Monteverdi feared most for his powerful connections.
Prendergast Hill - 15:05 Epsom
Prendergast Hill shed his maiden tag at this track in September and made a most satisfactory return from six months off the track at Kempton last time, shaping as if this stiffer test of stamina would be in his favour. He was well backed for that handicap debut and, despite failing to justify the market support with a slightly one-paced effort in fourth, he kept on in pleasing fashion with this assignment in mind. He's entitled to improve with that run under his belt and, with course experience likely to prove crucial in a competitive affair, Prendergast Hill can register the second win of his career here. Oasis Fantasy doesn't win very often, but appeals as the most likely to fill the forecast spot with Ryan Moore in the saddle.
Fagan - 15:15 Perth
Fagan looked to be suited by the emphasis on stamina when second in the Grade 1 Albert Bartlett at last month's Cheltenham Festival and that effort was a significant improvement on anything he had previously achieved in this sphere. A winner of a bumper at this track in September, he also seemed to appreciate the better ground when giving Unowhatimeanharry a real test last time and the conditions of this race mean he receives 3 lb from each of his rivals. The pace is unlikely to be as strong in this small field, but Fagan remains unexposed as a stayer and, with Up For Review performing below expectations on his two most recent starts, he rates a clear pick on form.
