Late Shipment - Exeter 13:30

Late Shipment shaped encouragingly when second on his penultimate outing at this venue and duly confirmed the promise of that effort with a dominant success at Hereford last time. He was arguably value for more than the official winning margin that day (eased close home) and, while he has shown signs of temperament in the past, Late Shipment remains potentially very well-treated from just 9 lb higher in the weights and is fancied to follow up with a defeat of the consistent Admiral Blake.

Nortonthorpelegend - Ayr 14:55

Nortonthorpelegend improved further to complete the hat-trick on his most recent outing at this venue, staying on strongly to lead two-out and quickly forging some seven lengths clear of a fair yardstick. He has a further 8 lb hike in the weights to contend with here, but remains open to more improvement at trips in excess of three miles and should prove extremely difficult to beat if arriving in the same form. Kilbree Chief takes a significant drop in class and can give the selection most to do.

Rowdy Rocher - Ayr 15:30

Rowdy Rocher took advantage of a lenient mark when successful over hurdles at this venue two weeks ago, getting off the mark for the Sandy Thomson yard at the third attempt and producing the best effort of his career to date in the process. He was admittedly seen to better effect than most on that occasion (well-placed in a race where those ridden prominently came to the fore), but could yet prove capable of better for this yard and shades the vote from Plus Jamais on his return to fences.
