Timeform pick out three bets from Beverley and Perth on Thursday...

Weloof - Beverley 14:45

Weloof looked a fairly useful prospect when opening his account at Wolverhampton last month and that form is beginning to work out well, with the runner-up going one better at Redcar next time. He remains open to more improvement after just two starts and, with trainer Ed Dunlop in such fine form at present (three winners from last 13 runners), Weloof is fancied to see off the attentions of Kodiac Khan and can take advantage of what looks a fair mark on his handicap debut.

Mash Potato - Perth 15:05

Mash Potato showed much improved form to get off the mark in this sphere at Uttoxeter last time, hitting the front on the approach to two-out and always doing enough to hold off the chasing pack thereafter. That form gives him the edge over Endeavor on Timeform ratings here and, while Louloumills is a bigger danger on the back of a determined victory at Sedgefield, Mash Potate remains potentially well-treated from just 5 lb higher in the weights and can follow up.

Gaelic Tiger - Beverley 16:25

Gaelic Tiger overcame experience to make a successful racecourse debut at Carlisle last August and produced an even better effort in defeat when second on handicap debut at Newcastle two weeks ago. He was off the bridle from some way out that day, but stayed on strongly in the closing stages to get within three lengths of the winner and, with the step up to this longer trip expected to suit on that evidence, Gaelic Tiger is taken to resume winning ways with a defeat of Masterpaver.
