"That represented his best effort on Timeform ratings since finishing third at this venue in May 2013..."

Double Chocolate - Fontwell Park 14:20

Double Chocolate has won two of his three completed starts since joining the Martin Keighley yard and returned from five months off the track with a dominant success at Warwick last time. That represented his best effort on Timeform ratings since finishing third at this venue in May 2013 and he appeared to win with plenty in hand. He is well into the veteran stage of his career at the age of 13, but remains one to keep onside in his current mood and Double Chocolate can defy a 13 lb hike in the weights with another victory here. La Madonnina appeals as the most likely to fill the forecast spot.

Traditional Dancer - Kelso 15:00

Traditional Dancer made a successful debut for the Iain Jardine yard at Perth last time, showing improved form over a trip in excess of two miles for the first time and giving the impression there could be more to come after so few starts in this sphere. His chief market rivals may have performed below expectations, but it was hard not to be impressed with the way he breezed clear on the final circuit and, with the potential for more improvement, Traditional Dancer is fancied to take advantage of what looks a lenient mark on his handicap debut. The consistent Marquis of Carabas is feared most.

Looking Well - Kelso 15:35

Looking Well performed with credit when second on his return from over two months off the track at Carlisle last time and would arguably have given the winner more to do but for a mistake at the second-last. That wasn't the first time he has been let down by his jumping (fell on his penultimate start at Catterick), but it did at least show that he can be competitive off this sort of mark and - 4 lb clear of his rivals on Timeform ratings - Looking Well is fancied to open his account over the larger obstacles with a defeat of the recent C&D winner Scotswell.
