Timeform pick out three bets from Chepstow and Chester on Sunday.
"Super Juilus is an obvious danger, but Lonely The Brave is open to more improvement and can follow up..."
Count Calabash - Chepstow 14:00
Count Calabash shaped with promise when third on his racecourse debut at Sandown recently, keeping on well in the closing stages and giving the impression he would improve with that initial experience under his belt. That form gives the edge over the consistent Bazwind on Timeform ratings here and, with the Paul Cole yard enjoying a good run in recent weeks, Count Calabash is expected to see off the attentions of the newcomer Washington Blue and open his account at the second time of asking.
Eastern Impact - Chester 15:15
Eastern Impact could only manage sixth on his most recent outing in the July Cup at Newmarket, unable to improve on his third-placed effort of 2015 and likely to have been beaten by a few of those that met trouble had they got a run. Nevertheless, this represents a far weaker race than he has been contesting of late and, although there is little to separate him and Danzeno on Timeform ratings, Eastern Impact is fancied to regain the winning thread at a venue where he has done well in the past.
Lonely The Brave - Chester 16:25
Lonely The Brave made an encouraging start to his career when second at Beverley four weeks ago and confirmed the promise of that initial outing with a comfortable success at Beverley last time. He appeared to have learnt plenty from his racecourse debut that day, delivering his challenge as the field entered the final two furlongs and quickly asserting his dominance on the run to the line. Super Juilus is an obvious danger, but Lonely The Brave is open to more improvement and can follow up.
