Timeform pick out three bets from the fifth and final day of Glorious Goodwood on Saturday...

"Mamillius is a substantial sort who cost 70,000 guineas as a two-year-old and he should have more to offer for the George Baker yard."

Projection - Goodwood 14:00

The sole three-year-old in the line-up for the consolation race for the Stewards' Cup later on the card at Goodwood, Projection, is taken to come out on top following his improved performance when fourth in a hot three-year-old handicap won by Dancing Star at Newmarket on his return. Twice a winner last year, Projection would have finished closer at Newmarket but for meeting traffic problems, and that same race was won by Magical Memory in 2015 before he followed up in the Stewards' Cup. Further progression is expected from Projection and he looks sure to go close for the in-form Roger Charlton stable.

Orion's Bow - Goodwood 15:45

Orion's Bow has already won five handicaps this year (on his last five starts) but he's progressing so quickly that he is taken to defy a 6-lb penalty in the Stewards' Cup itself, a race his yard won with Tayseer in 2000, Gift Horse in 2005 and Evens And Odds in 2010. Orion's Bow has proved a revelation dropped back to six furlongs this year, winning off a mark of 97 at Hamilton last time with as much ease as when he won off 69 at Newcastle in mid-May, and he's Timeform top rated for Saturday's big betting race. Three-year-old Dancing Star is undoubtedly very interesting too, making it into the field by the skin of her teeth, but Orion's Bow's is still preferred given his rate of progress in the last couple of months.

Mamillius - Goodwood 16:55

Mamillius did his bit for the form of the Newbury maiden in May in which he finished mid-field (won by Smuggler's Moon, who has won a listed race on his only start since) when a decisive scorer at Salisbury in June, and given that race has worked out quite well too (second and fifth both won since) and the fact this is just his fourth outing, he could be the one to be with on his handicap debut. Mamillius is a substantial sort who cost 70,000 guineas as a two-year-old and he should have more to offer for the George Baker yard.
