Timeform pick out three bets from the UK on Saturday...
Robin Roe - 13:50 Newbury
Bumper winner Robin Roe could hardly have made a better impression on his hurdling debut at Aintree in October, traveling powerfully before quickening clear impressively to score by 12 lengths from No Comment, who has boosted the form by winning both of his next two starts. Robin Roe is a most exciting hurdling prospect and gets the vote here over Winter Novices' Hurdle winner Messire des Obeaux and the unexposed Elegant Escape.
Twojayslad - Warwick 14:45
Twojayslad made an impressive start over fences last summer, and though he was disappointing when last seen 14 months ago, he is by no means one to give up on, especially with his yard going well ahead of his return. Twojayslad's six-length defeat of Combustible Kate in a novice handicap chase at Market Rasen in June 2015 was sound form, and he was probably value for more than the winning margin too given he was taken wide and extended late on for only hands and heels riding. The Ian Williams yard has saddled nine winners in December (at the time of writing) and Twojayslad could well make it double figures.
Special Wells - Uttoxeter 14:50
Course winner Special Wells is on a fair mark and appeared not to stay three miles at this track last time, so he's taken to resume winning ways dropped to two miles for the first time over fences since his chasing debut in October 2015. Special Wells has been dropped another 1 lb for that latest effort, when fourth of seven to Lord Heathfield, but he shaped better than the bare result and may represent some value in what appears a tricky-looking contest.
