Timeform pick out their three best bets on Monday.

"Fingal's Cave was ridden for the first time by George Baker on that latest start and it's interesting that the jockey takes the ride again."

Johnny B Goode - Lingfield 16:00

Johnny B Goode burnt plenty of fingers as his campaign ended in 2015, beaten at 13/8-on in a claimer and at 5/4 in a seller, but he's been given a chance by the handicapper (now off a career-low mark) and could be worth risking on his return under the Richard Fahey yard's 7-lb claimer Adam McNamara, who is a young rider to keep an eye on this year. Johnny B Good's last win in September 2014 came off a 3 lb higher mark than his current one, and his runner-up effort at Haydock last June (four outings back) was good form given the third-placed McCreery showed much better form subsequently before being sold to Australia.

Steelriver - Wolverhampton 16:20

Steelriver has never been the easiest to win with, but is just the type David Barron excels with and is awarded the vote in the hope stall 10 doesn't prove too big a hindrance (hold-up performer). Steelriver caught the eye on first outing since leaving Michael Herrington for Barron after four months off when a close fifth of 11 to Spring Loaded at Lingfield last month, tanking along in rear and staying on well in the straight for hand riding, and that form was franked when the winner followed up off a 4 lb higher mark on Saturday. Steelriver is well treated judged on his best form (close third to both Seeking Magic and Kasbah last autumn) and should get a good pace to chase down with Bosham and Seve in opposition.

Fingal's Cave - Wolverhampton 17:55

Fingal's Cave caught the eye when a strong-travelling fourth on his return to action at Chelmsford 11 days ago, and back at seven furlongs, holds sound claims from his handy mark. Fingal's Cave was ridden for the first time by George Baker on that latest start and it's interesting that the jockey takes the ride again. Baker actually allowed the free-going Fingal's Cave to take the lead after a couple of furlongs at Chelmsford but he'll almost certainly try and restrain him here, and he should get a fair pace to aim at with Spowarticus and Indian Affair in the field.
