Timeform pick out bets from Sandown and Lingfield on Friday...
"He remains fairly treated despite a 9 lb rise for that win, which appealed as solid form at the time..."
Blandfords Gunner - Sandown 14:10
Blandfords Gunner's jumping was much more polished when he got off the mark at Leicester last time and beat a subsequent winner into second. He remains fairly treated despite a 9 lb rise for that win, which appealed as solid form at the time, and with more to offer on just his third handicap start, he looks worth siding with over Legal Exit, who has not had long with Tom Lacey, and as a winning pointer, may yet do better in this sphere.
Slovak - Lingfield 16:00
Slovak made it three wins from her last four starts here last time on the back of a break, and with the return to this trip no issue based on her previous form, she gets the nod to continue her progression from a low draw and with little potential competition for the lead. A 3 lb rise for that success means she remains well treated, more so than last-time-out winner Queen Aggie, who must shoulder a 6 lb penalty for her win at Wolverhampton last time out, where the race was run to suit.
Beg To Differ - Sandown 16:20
Beg To Differ was progressive over hurdles last season and was last seen in that sphere completing a hat-trick from a 5 lb lower mark at Uttoxeter. He has always appealed as one who would do his best work over fences, though, and after posting a career-best effort when second at Cheltenham last time - despite some sloppy jumping - he could well get off the mark in this sphere on Friday if a first-time visor helps him concentrate at his fences a bit more. He remains open to improvement and is preferred to Sands Cove, who has been running well since joining James Evans.
