Though he has to give plenty of weight away all-round here, Stowaway Magic still makes plenty of appeal as he bids for his third win over hurdles. He made the most of a good opportunity when winning in effortless fashion at Doncaster last month over two miles, and though this is more competitive today, the step back up in trip should suit him well, and he is expected to win again. Cash Again has an absence to overcome but has the potential to do much better given his bumper form.
Sennockian Star turned in his best effort for a couple of years when winning at Lingfield over this trip at the end of January and is still feasibly treated on some of his old form after a 3 lb rise in the weights. His last start at Wolverhampton came over a trip that is probably on the sharp side for him nowadays, and he could get back to winning ways again here back up in trip.
The likable mare Twenty Eight Guns has been progressing well over fences this season, winning three of her five starts. She defied at 11 lb rise in the weights at Wincanton last time and was in control a long way from home. The manner in which she won that day and her excellent jumping means that she may well have even more to offer. Cogry is an interesting candidate now back over fences having returned to winning ways from a reduced mark over hurdles at Cheltenham on his penultimate start, for all that his jumping remains a concern in this sphere.
