Timeform pick out bets from Fairview and Greyville on Friday.
Katie Dubois 10:35 (GMT) Fairview
Katie Dubois has some pretty solid form against what look like better rivals than those she is up against this morning. Trained by top handler Justin Snaith, the daughter of Count Dubois wasn't beaten that far in sixth last time just the 3.20 lengths off the winner over seven furlongs at Kenilworth looking a little one paced which suggests she may be happier stepped up to the mile here. She is a half-sister to Katies Jay who won over even further so her stamina should be sound, and with jockey Gavin Lerena as good as it gets in the saddle, Katie Dubois seems good value to take her first race.
Sweet Chestnut 16:50 (GMT) Greyville
Sweet Chestnut does need to be forgiven her last run in a Workriders Plate to be supported here but may be better judged on her earlier form which includes eight places from her sixteen starts with a career best three quarter length second to Cosmo Russe over nine furlongs at Vaal in November last year. It seems safe to say that she is no stable star for Alec Laird but she has been found a weak looking race and a switch to the polytrack may see Sweet Chestnut win at last on her seventeenth start.
Mr McSteamy 18:50 (GMT) Greyville
Mr McSteamy has been put up a pretty generous three pounds for a fairly comfortable course and distance success here a week ago and the King's Chapel gelding looks good to follow up even off his new rating. Apprentice Ashton Arries takes a useful nine pounds off his back this afternoon and although others have a bit more experience in the saddle, he us up and coming and good value for his claim. Trainer Garth Puller is hitting the magical 10% win strike rate of late which is another positive and Mr McSteamy looks likely to be hard to stop granted the necessary luck in running, as he prefers to finish fast and late.
