Wolverhampton's seven-furlong handicap at 15:10 rates as a pretty competitive affair on paper, for all it's lacking in unexposed sorts. However, this may be the chance for Yair Hill to resume winning ways. Tony Coyle's charge provides the back-class angle having plied his trade in big-field, competitive turf handicaps for each of the last two seasons, and while he clearly isn't the force of old, his revised mark is now reflective of that. There were reasons to be positive about his C&D fourth from a wide draw last time, and with a strong pace seemingly assured, the son of Selkirk may well represent some value under Tom Eaves.

It may be worth siding with John O'Neil's Cabaret Girl in Towcester's 15.30, a 0-100 handicap chase over the extended 19-furlong trip. Ok, the daughter of Karinga Bay doesn't boast the most convincing of profiles, but the same can be said of her rivals, and with her latest chase third looking good form for the grade (winner unexposed & second a subsequent winner), this could well be her chance to shine.
