Timeform pick out their three best bets for the action from Doncaster and Ludlow on Wednesday...
"A big, scopey horse, Fort Worth has been given a break since and his trainer is in good form; he's saddled three winners and two placed horses from his last eleven runners."
Fort Worth - Doncaster 15:00
Fort Worth looked a horse to follow when second to the Charles Byrne-trained Leave At Dawn at Cheltenham in November, and is better judged on that performance than when well held at Aintree three weeks later. Fort Worth is a big, scopey horse, who is returning from a break with his yard in good form (saddled three winners and two placed horses from its last eleven runners) and is worth another chance to confirm his earlier promise. Course specialist Victor Hewgo is respected, along with the hat-trick seeking Pinnacle Panda, who triumphed at Sandown when last seen, despite hanging badly left on the run-in.
Godsmejudge - Doncaster 15:30
Godsmejudge only found subsequent listed winner Ziga Boy too strong at this course last time out, and the handicapper has taken a chance here by leaving him on the same mark. Despite being one of the youngest in the line-up, he dips his toe into a veterans' chase for the first time and he can record his first win since the 2013 Scottish Grand National. Three-time course winner Night In Milan reverts to fences after a facile hurdling win last month, though it is worth noting that he is 20 lb higher in this sphere.
Trapper Peak - Ludlow 15:40
The former Caroline Bailey-trained Trapper Peak was a well-backed fourth on his debut for Alex Dunn at Huntingdon earlier this month and shaped with much more promise than the 16 lengths he was beaten. He was quite keen but jumped nicely and this drop in trip (and in the weights) should ensure an improved effort. Last year's victor Kerryhead Storm is back on his last winning mark and rates the biggest danger.
