There are two very interesting cards in Ireland today and Timeform's Irish team have picked out three more SmartPlays.....
"A classy chaser on his day, Zaarito has finished second in Grade 2 contests at Naas and Navan on his last two starts..."
Sharalam is going the right way and should prove hard to beat stepped up in trip in the 16:15 at Leopardstown. He justified favouritism on his reappearance at Dundalk in March prior to finishing a very good second to Ansaab on his handicap debut at the Curragh last time. Sharalam is closely weighted with Midnight Music on Curragh form but Paul Deegan's gelding is open to more improvement than that rival and is still on a handy mark.
Zaarito appeals as the best bet on a bumper eight-race card at Killarney. A classy chaser on his day, Zaarito has finished second in Grade 2 contests at Naas and Navan on his last two starts and a repeat of that sort of form will see him home in front. His jumping has held up quite well of late and he is very well treated by the conditions of today's race so he looks worth supporting at short odds.
Bold Thady Quill has dropped to a handy mark, now 3 lb lower than when successful at Cork last year, and shaped as if on the way back to form at Naas last time (King Ferdinand third), unsuited by the way the race developed and finishing with running left. Conditions will suit and he hails from an in-form yard.
Back Sharalam in the 16:15 @ Leopardstown
Back Zaarito in the 16:25 @ Killarney
Back Bold Thady Quill in the 16:45 @ Leopardstown
