Timeform pick out their best three bets at Killarney on Wednesday evening.
"He sets the standard by some way on his fourth at Newmarket behind Galileo Gold..."
Valentana - 18:20 Killarney
Intrepid Prince has won impressively on his last two starts at Galway and Naas and another good run is anticipated here despite a hefty 15 lb rise in the weights for his last success. With such a hefty rise to deal with, however, it could be worth opposing him with Valentana, who did well to get up at Tipperary last time from off the pace and looks capable of following up now up in trip slightly (stays 10.5f).
Air Vice Marshal - 18:50 Killarney
This represents a big drop in class for Air Vice Marshal, who has contested the the 2000 Guineas and the Irish equivalent on his last two starts. Soft ground blunted his performance at the Curragh last time, but he sets the standard by some way on his fourth at Newmarket behind Galileo Gold prior to that, where he still showed some greenness and didn't appear to be that suited by the Dip (became unbalanced). Given his pedigree, he is very much the type to continue improving throughout his three-year-old campaign now he is back on better ground, and is expected to get back on track here.
I'll Be Your Clown - 19:50 Killarney
I'll Be Your Clown has carried his head highly/looked half-hearted at times during his career, so it was no surprise to see him well served by some more severe headgear (visor replaced blinkers) last time at Roscommon when he got right back to his best, finishing one and a half lengths second of 10. Now 8 lb below his last winning mark with the visor remaining on today, he should go close to getting back to winning ways. Xebec won this race last year from the same mark and is an obvious danger.
