Timeform pick out three bets from Irish Gold Cup day at Leopardstown on Sunday.

Meri Devie - Leopardstown 14:30

Meri Devie looked an exciting prospect when making a successful hurdling debut over this C&D, travelling strongly in the leaders' slipstream throughout and appearing to win with far more in hand than the official winning margin would suggest. That form leaves her 2 lb clear of her nearest rival on Timeform ratings and Meri Devie is fancied to take this step up in class in her stride, with stablemate Bapaume feared most of the remainder.

Bellshill - Leopardstown 15:30

Bellshill had some smart form to his name over hurdles and took his record over the larger obstacles to two wins from two starts in a Grade 2 at Limerick on Boxing Day. That effort identified him as a high-class staying chaser in the making and, while the similarly exciting Our Duke is an obvious danger here, Bellshill is expected to prove too classy and can provide trainer Willie Mullins with yet another victory in this Grade 1 prize.

Don Poli - Leopardstown 16:00

Don Poli was desperately disappointing when pulled-up on debut for this yard at Down Royal in November, but bounced back with a good second on his most recent outing in the Lexus Chase over this C&D and would appear to hold sound claims if arriving in the same mood here. Indeed, that form gives him the edge over Minella Rocco on Timeform ratings and Don Poli is fancied to register the fourth victory of his career at the highest level.
