Timeform provide you with three selections from Irish Derby day at the Curragh on Saturday afternoon...
"He's not getting any better at the age of 7, but operating at this lower level may well help."
Curragh 15:35 - Gordon Lord Byron
Gordon Lord Byron has been below his best in three starts this term, but this represents a drop in class having competed in a Group 1 last time. He's not getting any better at the age of 7, but operating at this lower level may well help. Tested and Line Of Reason are two live threats.
Curragh 17:25 - Trinity Force
A useful contest. Trinity Force did well to finish as close as he did at Naas last time and is well worth another chance to show he's on a good mark. Jim Bolger's recent Fairyhouse maiden winner Stop And Linger is a potential improver now handicapping, while Texas Rock was just in front of the selection last time and has to enter the reckoning with Ryan Moore taking the ride.
Curragh 19:15 - Daneking
Daneking should have some scope off this sort of mark based on his hurdling ability and is worth another chance having not had things go his way behind a couple of these rivals at Leopardstown last time. Hurricane Ridge has posted solid placed efforts on his last 2 starts and should be thereabouts again, while Silwana probably needed the run on her C&D reappearance and is worth another chance.
