Timeform's Irish team have picked out three bets from Navan on Saturday.
"What also shouldn't be forgotten is that Fascino Rustico was purchased by his previous owner for £310,000 after making a winning bumper debut in Ireland..."
Angus Milan - Navan 15:05
Angus Milan impressed with how he went through the race when making his third start in handicaps a winning one at Down Royal a month ago, and with this step back up in trip promising to suit, he's taken to shrug off a 7 lb rise. Noel Kelly's charge pressed on soon after leading three 3 out that day, before beating Skellig Rocks by three and three-quarter lengths, and he remains unexposed after just six starts over hurdles.
Fascino Rustico - Navan 15:40
Fascino Rustico was allowed to leave Dan Skelton relatively cheaply, but he's joined another powerful yard, is a chaser on looks and can boast useful hurdles form, so he could well be the answer. What also shouldn't be forgotten is that Fascino Rustico was purchased by his previous owner for £310,000 after making a winning bumper debut in Ireland, so he's clearly a horse that has long possesed plenty of raw ability. Fascino Rustico struggled a bit with his jumping over hurdles, but he's had plenty of time to learn his new discipline (not seen since April) and could strike at the first time of asking over fences for his stable.
Flemenstorm - Navan 16:15
This is likely a strong race for the grade/field size, but Flemenstorm definitely boasts the scope to do better over fences ad may be the one to beat. Flemenstorm is certainly not 100% straightforward - he has flashed his tail - but he's clearly in top form at present after winning handicaps on his last two starts (over hurdles and fences) and should run another big race here. He's only had 10 outings in his life, with only five of them coming in handicaps.
