C'est Jersey failed to meet market expectations when third on his most recent outing at Fairyhouse, appearing unsuited by the emphasis on stamina in testing conditions and not given a hard time once it became clear his chance had gone. He deserves another chance to confirm the promise of his earlier second at this venue (winner has won a Grade 2 since), though, and can open his account at the third time of asking if bouncing back here, with Black Key feared most of the remainder.

Acapella Bourgeois - Navan 15:20

Acapella Bourgeois showed a useful level of form when fourth on his most recent outing at Leopardstown, still holding a narrow advantage at the last and keeping on well to be beaten a little over seven lengths. He certainly showed enough to suggest he is up to winning a race of this nature and is fancied to open his account over fences at the fourth time of asking. Arbre de Vie has filled the runner-up spot in both his starts over fences to date and can give the selection most to do here.

Mount Brandon - Navan 15:55

Mount Brandon produced the best effort of his career to date when second at Punchestown last time, travelling strongly on the front end throughout and only caught in the shadows of the post. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to build on that performance, but he remains potentially very-well handicapped if doing so and is taken to belatedly get off the mark under Rules now wearing cheekpieces for the first time. All The Chimneys is thriving and looks the main danger.
