Timeform bring you three tips from Fairyhouse on Saturday, featuring the Grade 2 Bobbyjo Chase.
"Mala Beach improved a chunk when going down narrowly to My Murphy on his handicap debut in the Thyestes Chase at Gowran in January..."
Not For Burning - Fairyhouse 14:20
Not For Burning has been in good form all winter at around three miles, winning over C&D in early-January and shaping as if in still form both starts since, and she shouldn't be inconvenienced by this drop back to two and a half miles. Not For Burning is not totally exposed, with eighteen outings behind her, and she looks a sound bet here.
Squouateur - Fairyhouse 14:55
This looks a competitive handicap, and is likely to prove rock-solid form, but Squouateur appears overpriced at his current odds of 7.06/1. Squouateur is unexposed after just four starts and proved well suited by the step up to today's trip of two and a half miles when making a successful handicap debut at Leopardstown in late-December. An 8 lb rise looks fair for Squouateur and he may have too many guns at this stage for the Mullins-trained favourite Townshend.
Mala Beach - Fairyhouse 15:25
Mala Beach improved a chunk when going down narrowly to My Murphy on his handicap debut in the Thyestes Chase at Gowran in January, and he can go one better in this Bobbyjo Chase. Mala Beach had also finished second to Royal Regatta (runs in today's Ascot Chase) on his previous start, and he remains unexposed as a chaser after just six outings over the larger obstacles. The Gordon Elliott yard - who are also responsible for Squouateur - are in red-hot form too.
