Three selections for a bumper eight-race card at Ballinrobe this evening...
Run With The Wind has been successful on the level since an excellent second on his last hurdles outing...
Passage Vendome (16:55) should have pushed Coldstonesober much closer than he did when two lengths second at Tramore last time, allowing the winner first run before finishing strongly when finally asked for his effort. That form sets the standard in what looks to be an ordinary maiden and it will be disappointing if he can't continue his yard's fine form.
Michael Hourigan took the minor event on the card last year with False Economy, and can repeat the feat with Run with the Wind (17:25), who has been successful on the level since an excellent second on his last hurdles outing. He split a pair of next-time-out winners at Punchestown in September, beaten only a neck by the now useful Il Fenomeno on that occasion, and the pair were sixteen lenghts clear of the third. He's overpriced at around the 4.03/1 mark.
Preswell Lad (18:25) shaped nicely back from an absence recently and can resume winning ways in division one of the two and a half mile handicap hurdle. He was returning from a 371-day absence when third of 16 to See Double You in a 21f handicap hurdle at Tramore recently, and put in some encouraging late work that day. He gets in off the same mark this afternoon and should take plenty of beating.
