Timeform's Irish team are back from their brief hiatus and highlight three win selections for this afternoon's card at Limerick...
Ponmeword reverts to timber off a lower mark than the one he scored off over fences and he should prove difficult to beat in this company...
Special Token may not have graced the winners' enclosure since scoring over fences at this particular meeting last year, but she remains potentially well treated back over timber, especially on her more recent efforts over fences. She ran well when chasing home Backinthere in a mares' handicap hurdle at Cork last time and, with the slight drop in trip expected to suit, she looks more than capable of going one better this afternoon.
Ponmeword was well backed prior to comfortably landing a handicap chase at this course in December and looked a big threat when slipping up after the second last on his attempt to follow up that victory five days later. However, he reverts to timber off a lower mark than the one he scored off over fences and he should prove difficult to beat in this company if able to reproduce that form back over hurdles.
Lisrose landed a maiden hurdle on this card last term and shaped well when third to Definite Class on her chasing debut at Kilbeggan in May. She subsequently left Declan Queally's yard and ultimately shaped as if in need of the outing in a similar event at Tramore when next seen five months later on her debut for Henry de Bromhead, jumping well in the main and not knocked about once held. She should be fully up to speed now, though, and remains open to improvement in this sphere.
