There are two meetings in Ireland this evening and we have picked out three more SmartPlays....
"Mullaghwillin Boy has improved since joining this yard and has been shaping as if a step up to this sort of trip will bring about further improvement."
Mount Colah has shown enough in two previous starts over hurdles to suggest that a maiden event is well within his capabilities and is chosen to account for the hitherto frustrating Silver Shuffle in the 18:20 at Down Royal. He had a whole host of subsequent winners behind when runner-up to Formidableopponent at Navan in November before seeming stretched by the step up to two and a half miles on his next start at Fairyhouse. He has won a bumper at this track and is best forgiven a below-par effort in very heavy ground at Punchestown last time.
Mullaghwillin Boy has improved since joining this yard and has been shaping as if a step up to this sort of trip will bring about further improvement. His lack of finishing speed was again exposed at Sligo last time but that was a strong race of its type and this trainer/jockey combination were on the mark with Undertheboardwalk at Wexford during the week.
Both of The Real Article's wins on the level have been gained in three-runner races but he still looks the one they all have to beat in the concluding race on the Limerick card at 20:45. He is much the best of these over jumps, boasts a very good strike rate and looks well capable of giving weight all round here.
