Timeform pick out three bets from Ballinrobe on Monday evening.
"Given his strike rate, however, it would not be the greatest surprise if one of these proved too good..."
Persian Wind - 18:40 Ballinrobe
Persian Wind has run two good races in two starts for his new yard, finishing second in front of a subsequent winner at Bellowstown in June, and running a respectable third last time at Downpatrick. In this modest affair, Persian Wind makes plenty of appeal and should be able to get off the mark for his new connections. Phar Island could do better now tackling handicaps, while Hunters Vision was left with too much to do at Roscommon and likely remains in form.
Billy De Kid - 19:40 Ballinrobe
Round Tower sets the standard here on his second over C&D last month and today looks a good opportunity for him to finally get off the mark over hurdles. Given his strike rate, however, it would not be the greatest surprise if one of these proved too good, and the most obvious potential improver is Billy De Kid, who shaped encouragingly on his first start over hurdles at Killarney last time, losing out to a far superior bumper performer, and could have more to offer here.
Black Label - 20:10 Ballinrobe
Plenty to like about Black Label, who won from 4 lb lower in the weights at this track last season and left the impression he should have finished a bit closer when finishing sixth in a big-field handicap at Galway last time (not ideally placed and running on later). Andrew Lynch takes over in the saddle from a claimer, and Black Label should go well here today. Supreme Vic has been in excellent heart of late and is an obvious danger.
