The Timeform Irish team highlight at three selections for this evening's card at Bellewstown...
Little Bing Bang looks just the type to take off now tackling handicaps...
Charismas Birthday is probably better known for his exploits on the all-weather nowadays, but he takes the eye from a low draw in the sprint handicap at 18:40. A winner at Dundalk in March, Charismas Birthday showed that he isn't just a one trick pony when running respectably on turf at Naas last time, making the running and sticking to task when third to Ningaloo Reef. He races off the same mark here and looks worth an interest.
The next race on the card (19:10) doesn't look the strongest event in the world and Little Bing Bang looks just the type to take off now tackling handicaps. The Stephen Nolan-trained gelding is not badly bred by any means and produced his best effort as a juvenile when fifth in a maiden at Fairyhouse. He failed to build on that next time and this will be his first run of the season, but he is far from exposed in this type of event and Fran Berry looks an eye-catching jockey booking.
The handicap at 19:40 looks the pick on tonight's action, with half of the ten-runner field having won last-time-out. Katiola has only had two-career starts to date, improving on her debut effort when landing a maiden at Leopardstown last month. The way she responded to pressure that day indicates that the step up in trip should suit and, though she has something to find with many of these, she looks sure to progress further.
