Timeform's Irish Team highlight three selections for this evening's meeting at Dundalk....
"Harpist is open to plenty of improvement this year..."
Harpist shaped with plenty of encouragement when fifth to Big Break in a warm-looking maiden at Leopardstown in September, catching the eye with how she finished after being denied a clear run in the straight. Teoirim and Pearl of Africa set a fair standard in the opening contest, but they have seemingly reached their limit in terms of form and Harpist is open to plenty of improvement this year.
Toberton got off the mark when landing a seven-furlong claimer at this course in February and has run some sound efforts in defeat over one mile on both outings since. He drops back down to six furlongs for the first time this year, but he has shown plenty of pace on his last three starts and he could take some pegging back if able to attack from his inside draw this evening.
Fairview Star has shown a fair level of ability in bumpers/hurdles without managing to get his head in front. However, he wasted little time in getting off the mark in this sphere when landing a C&D maiden earlier this month. The runner-up that day has won since, albeit in a weak event, and Fairview Star should have more to offer now tackling handicaps.
