Timeform pick out bets from Gowran Park and Dundalk on Friday.
"She beat a subsequent winner by 12 lengths with ease on her bumper debut at Galway last time and was value for more like a 15-length success..."
Queen Deirdre - 17:35 Gowran Park
A big field here, but only a few that matter for win purposes. Snow Leopardess and Seelateralligator are interesting British raiders for Charlie Longsdon and Dan Skelton, respectively, but Irish champion trainer Willie Mullins should keep this listed prize on home soil with the exciting Queen Deirdre. She beat a subsequent winner by 12 lengths with ease on her bumper debut at Galway last time and was value for more like a 15-length success given the amount she was eased close home. Sure to progress here with that under her belt, she is worth backing to land a double here.
Long Island Sound - 19:35 Dundalk
Two of Long Island Sound's three career victories have come at this track, and after running some solid races recently, which include a third in the Tercentenary Stakes at Royal Ascot and a second in the Grade 1 Secretariat Stakes at Arlington last time, he should be able to notch a third course win now back in calmer waters/on home soil. Though he hasn't always looked the most straightforward under pressure, British raider Battalion could be one of the main threats, with William Haggas in top form at present.
Hurricane Cass - 20:05 Dundalk
Hurricane Cass was left with rather a lot to do here last time with fourth behind the re-opposing Ringside Humour and lost his unbeaten record at this track in the process (two from two prior to that). A 3 lb pull in the weights with that one (who has scored here since) gives Hurricane Cass a good chance of reversing the form, and with plenty of front runners in the field, the race should be run to suit his hold-up style.
