It's Friday so it has got to be Dundalk and we have picked out three more SmartPlays....
"Bangalore Diamond would be meeting most of these on more favourable terms if this was a handicap but looks worth siding with in a race where recent form is thin on the ground."
Bangalore Diamond would be meeting most of these on more favourable terms if this was a handicap but looks worth siding with in a race where recent form is thin on the ground. Bangalore Diamond himself has been in great form of late, winning a C&D handicap just before Christmas prior to finding only Richelieu too good last time. He is well drawn and Ian Brennan is very good value for his three pound claim.
Ger Lyons has made a good start to the year and his Greek Canyon looks the one to beat in the seven furlong handicap at 18:50. Although he has never won on this surface, Greek Canyon ran right up to his best when beaten less than a length by Rummaging on his penultimate start and is now three pounds lower than his last winning mark.
Senyuman has shaped well on all three starts in maidens and may be able to open her account on her first foray into handicap company. She is starting off from what looks a fair mark, is well worth another try at this trip and her trainer does really well with similar types.
