Timeform's Irish team head to Tipperary and Ballinrobe for Tuesday's selections...
Wrong Way Corrigan argubly should have won at least one of his three starts in bumpers already, looking a little unlucky when touched off by Falcarragh at Wexford recently
Tipperary's card commences with a maiden race over five furlongs, in which Cape of Approval (14:05) can belatedly get off the mark. The Tommy Stack-trained gelding has been campaigned over longer trips than this until now, but the nature of his narrow defeat at the hands of Alsium at the Curragh last month over six furlongs suggested a drop to the minimum distance might offer the son of Cape Cross to chance to shed his maiden tag.
An hour later and despite having already spurned numerous opportunities to bag a victory, Purple (15:05) looks set to finally end up in the winner's circle. Back in maiden company after competing in handicaps over the last couple of months, she looks to have the similarly frustrating Teofolina to beat here and with Joseph O'Brien choosing her ahead of his father's other filly in the race Flower Bouquet, and can score at the eighth time of asking.
Attention switches to Ballinrobe during the evening and it may be best to wait until the final race for the best bet at the County Mayo track. Wrong Way Corrigan (20:55) argubly should have won at least one of his three starts in bumpers already, looking a little unlucky when touched off by Falcarragh at Wexford recently, but Willie Mullins looks to have found a suitable race for this brother to connections' useful hurdler/chaser Bishopsfurze and under the pilotship of the trainer's son Patrick, he looks all set to send his backers home happy.
