Meydan 13:10 - Krypton Factor

Krypton Factor won this before landing the Golden Shaheen in 2012 and looked back to his best when a very good second on dirt debut to Reynaldothewizard last time. He holds major claims if able to emulate that performance. Progressive sprinter Farmah has a big chance if taking to dirt, while Speed Hawk has placed on both C&D starts and holds similar claims for all this trip seems to stretch him.

Meydan 13:45 - Ahtoug

Ahtoug was narrowly denied in this race 12 months ago and looked back to best when landing a C&D handicap last time. He's a big player on form and the cheekpieces could have a notable effect. Banaadeer has taken time to find his feet this Carnival but a bold bid is expected now, while Sole Power and Via Africa are multiple Gr 1 winners and are sure to go well.

Meydan 14:55 - Umgiyo

Umgiyo showed a good turn of foot when winning on return and lost little in defeat behind Hunter's Light last time. He has a good chance of getting the trip and would be well-equipped if this became tactical, which is very possible. Sky Hunter, who found form in Britain last season for Godolphin, rates a big danger, along with Sheikhzayedroad who won here last year and has recently landed a Grade 1 in Canada.
