Cosmo Charlie - 16:15 Meydan

A chance is taken on Cosmo Charlie, who impressed on debut in a C&D maiden last month, form which has been boosted by the second Capezzano following up readily since. Godolphin are well represented, led comfortably by Best Solution who was second in a Group 1 when last seen, but he's down 3f in trip and drawn wide on UAE/dirt debut. Elsewhere Fly At Dawn can overturn recent C&D form with Van Der Decken, but both will probably need to step up slightly in any case.

Tumbaga - 17:25 Meydan

Tumbaga hasn't been seen since chasing home stablemate Tha'ir in a valuable Group 2 in Turkey in September 2015, but having twice raced on dirt in the US, impressively won his first 2 starts for Saeed Bin Suroor at Kempton and Chelmsford, and his potential remains intact despite coming off a lengthy absence. Heavy Metal has been as consistent as they come this season and should put in another sound effort, while German runner Ross took well to dirt here last term and isn't ruled out.

Jungle Cat - 18:00 Meydan

Jungle Cat was most impressive when winning this race off just 3 lb lower last January before twice going close in Group contests here over 5f, and again back in Britain before a couple of lesser efforts, but 6f is his optimum and a bold bid is likely on return. The handicap won by Final Venture 2 weeks ago is well represented and he, along with Steady Pace who was beaten a nose that day, ought to go close again.
