Pepper Lane looks the pick at the weights but she's not as reliable as she used to be and is taken on with progressive 3-y-o Mince, who can complete the hat-trick...
Fratellino won a listed race on AW in March, and good efforts when in the frame at Ascot, Newmarket and York recent starts. Looks up against it here, though.
Inxile won 5 times last year and back to something like his best when gamely seeing off 8 rivals in 5f listed event at Tipperary. Respectable run in heavy last time and track should suit his style.
Secret Witness ran well in handicaps on consecutive days here in May, winning over 6f on first occasion, and generally not disgraced since, stiff task on latest. Not ruled out.
Free Zone is a front runner who scored 3 times as a juvenile and already won twice this season. Creditable placed efforts in listed/Group 3 company at Sandown though last 2 runs not so good.
Sammindar made a winning debut at Yarmouth at 2. Best effort since when third in listed race at Newbury in May. Disappointing next 2 starts and bit to prove on balance.
Mince was twice a winner at 2 yrs, and has continued on the up this year, winning 6f handicaps at Newmarket and Ascot before showing smart form when making all in listed race at Pontefract. Big player.
Blanche Dubawi was a winner of 6f handicaps at Ascot and Goodwood last year before proving herself in this grade with win at Rowley course. Likely to have needed recent return and arrives here fresher than most.
Colour Of Love is in good heart this term, landing a 6f Fairyhouse handicap and most recently minor events at Tipperary and Dundalk. More required at this level, though.
Pepper Lane was most progressive in 2011, winning 4 times in handicaps, and bounced right back to best when landing Great St Wilfred for successive year running last month. Trip too short last time and respected.
Sugar Beet is a hold-up performer who won Windsor handicap in April. Creditable efforts when placed since but looks up against it at this level.
Lady Gorgeous has been much improved this term, finishing sixth in the Jersey Stakes before running well at Ascot and Pontefract (behind Mince both times) last 2 starts. 7f probably her optimum trip, though.
2. Pepper Lane
3. Blanche Dubawi
Timeform View: Pepper Lane looks the pick at the weights but she's not as reliable as she used to be and is taken on with progressive 3-y-o Mince, who can complete the hat-trick. Blanche Dubawi is likely to benefit from her recent return and can make a place.
