Timeform bring you three tips from Navan on Saturday...
"This fairly useful Flat recruit is open to plenty of improvement, especially as that was his first run since being gelded in the summer, and he looks capable of winning a race of this nature"
Unyielding - 13:55 Navan
Unyielding shaped with plenty of promise when third on his hurdling debut behind a runaway Willie Mullins-trained winner at Naas earlier this month. This fairly useful Flat recruit is open to plenty of improvement, especially as that was his first run since being gelded in the summer, and he looks capable of winning a race of this nature. Calin des Ongrais remains of interest despite a lacklustre debut at Punchestown where he was sent off at 9/4.
Sir Abbot - 16:05 Navan
With cheekpieces applied for the first time, the J.P. McManus-owned Sir Abbot can gain his first win over fences. Compared to his 10 lb higher mark over hurdles, Sir Abbot looks well-handicapped and there was more promise in his run at Leopardstown last month. Five O'Clock Tea is another who hinted at a revival last time.
Kilford - 16:40 Navan
Despite being edged up 2 lb in the handicap for his second at Down Royal earlier this month, Kilford looks the horse to beat. The fourth and fifth from that race have both won since and, furthermore, he could get the run of the race out in front today. Fever Pitch drops in grade and is respected accordingly, however he is still yet to win off a mark this high.
