Nick Shiambouros hopes to end his current stint in the tipping chair with a couple of winners from the outstanding meeting at Doncaster...
"Her conditioner has handled her beautifully, and I will be surprised if she is not involved in the finish"
14:30 Doncaster - Rich Legacy
Rich Legacy should go close in this fascinating contest.
This well related filly finished fourth to Kilmah in the Prestige at Goodwood last month. She became outpaced and dropped to last place fully two furlongs from home, but picked up the bit and finished strongly. I was impressed with her attitude, and I believe she is open to significant improvement.
There is no question that she will appreciate the extra yardage and represents decent value at 5.04/1 on the exchange.
The favourite Kilmah is bound to make a bold bid from the front, but is not guaranteed to get home over this mile trip. She is currently trading at 4.77/2 on the exchange but I think she will be bigger at post time.
15:05 Doncaster- Abingdon
Abingdon is my idea of the winner of this Group 2 staying contest.
This filly put in a much improved effort when winning a Listed event at York last month. She took the lead well over a furlong from home and powered home to score with plenty in hand. This likeable individual has a lot more to offer and should handle the step up in class. Her conditioner has handled her beautifully, and I will be surprised if she is not involved in the finish.
She is trading at 3.3512/5 on the exchange and I have backed her at this price.
Simple Verse must merit consideration. This St Leger heroine has been a little disappointing this term and has not been seen since finishing unplaced in the Hardwicke at Royal Ascot.
If she can recapture her form she will be a threat to all.
