12.25 Clonmel Maiden Hurdle 2m61y

Timeform Top Rated:
130p 1. MONBEG WORLDWIDE Gordon Elliott J. W. Kennedy
118 3. EDIFICATION R. P. McNamara Sean Flanagan
110p 10. GAME OF WAR Henry de Bromhead D. Robinson (5)

Analyst's Verdict:
Triple bumper winner Monbeg Worldwide made a sound start over hurdles when second at Fairyhouse last month and is likely to take plenty of stopping. Game of War made a satisfactory hurdling bow at Fairyhouse in October and is likely to improve, while the selection's stablemate Rakhine State showed enough in bumpers to suggest he can make an impact in a race like this now hurdling.

12.55 Powerstown Handicap Hurdle 2m61y

Timeform Top Rated:
118 4. NEDDYVAUGHAN C. Roche J. S. McGarvey
116 10. MUSICAL AVA John Michael Burke M. P. Burke (5)
115 1. JAZZ RANGER P. A. Fahy C. M. Leonard (7)

Analyst's Verdict:
Neddyvaughan was holding his form well prior to his last run, and he is selected to get back on track from a workable mark. His stablemate Bay Hill should continue to give a good account in this sphere, while Musical Ava has each-way claims once again.

1.30 Jim Strang & Sons Kilsheelan (Peugeot) Hurdle 3m

Timeform Top Rated:
158 4. TAGLIETELLE Gordon Elliott J. W. Kennedy
157 1. COQUIN MANS W. P. Mullins P. Townend
153 2. VAL DE FERBET Andrew McNamara Robbie Power

Analyst's Verdict:
Coquin Mans has run to a smart level when placed twice in Graded company this autumn and can get back to winning ways with his sights lowered slightly. Taglietelle has gone a while without a win but he's still useful and could be the one to give the selection most to do in receipt of 10 lb.

2.00 Adare Monor Opportunity Handicap Hurdle 2m3f58y

Timeform Top Rated:
113 7. BATTLING SPIRIT Jonathan Sweeney Katie O'Farrell
109 3. ALI BIN NAYEF John Joseph Hanlon John J. Fitzpatrick
107 12. LOCH LUATHA L. Young Mr D. P. Holden (4)

Analyst's Verdict:
Battling Spirit could be the way to go having shaped well on his first run for his new yard here last month. Ali Bin Nayef and Loch Luatha are also respected.

2.35 Clonmel Racecourse Supporters Club Only €90 Beginners Chase 2m44y

Timeform Top Rated:
130 6. ROBIN DES MANA Gordon Elliott J. W. Kennedy
128p 5. MONBEG CHIT CHAT Henry de Bromhead Sean Flanagan
118p 7. STEAMBOAT QUAY Gordon Elliott Keith Donoghue

Analyst's Verdict:
Monbeg Chit Chat made a pleasing start over fences at Cork and can improve on that to strike here. Robin des Mana left his previous efforts over fences behind switched to more positive tactics in a first-time tongue strap at Fairyhouse and could go well again from the front.

3.10 Club Stand Restaurant Handicap Chase 2½m103y

Timeform Top Rated:
130 9. BARD OF ARMAGH A. J. Martin John J. Fitzpatrick (7)
128 3. BLACK SCORPION John F. Gleeson Mr R. W. Barron (7)
127+ 4. BITVIEW COLIN John Patrick Ryan D. E. Mullins

Analyst's Verdict:
This looks particularly trappy so a chance is taken on Bard of Armagh without the benefit of market clues. He looks the type to improve for the switch to handicaps and represents a yard renowned for doing well with such types. Just Get Cracking and Black Scorpion are others likely to be involved.

3.45 Next Meeting Thursday January 11th (Q.R.) (C & G) Maiden Hurdle 2m3f58y

Timeform Top Rated:
124 3. MIGHTY STOWAWAY John Joseph Hanlon Ms K. Walsh
123 1. ALLARDYCE E. J. O'Grady Mr B. O'Neill
122 5. SETTIMO MILANESE M. F. Morris Mr J. C. Barry (5)

Analyst's Verdict:
Draconien wasn't disgraced in a Group 1 bumper on his sole start in France last year, and now hurdling for leading connections, he is selected without the benefit of market clues. Others make appeal however, with Mighty Stowaway and Henry de Bromhead's point recruit Pallaskenry chief amongst them.
