"He could well be up to winning this maiden first time out before moving on to better things."
Sirtain has been the subject of numerous gallop reports suggesting the son of Australian sire Not A Single Doubt is way above average. He certainly looks the part on breeding and will easily stay this six furlongs and further in time, and if Sirtain is forward enough to do himself justice for in-form trainer Mike de Kock, he could well be up to winning this maiden first time out before moving on to better things.
Red Revolution already holds Monty Python on November form and Before Noon from December, and looks to have been found a suitable chance to get off the mark for the Azzie stable here. Two seconds and a fourth in his last three starts suggest he has more than enough talent to win a race or two, and stepped up half a furlong here in a race that seems to have little depth, Red Revolution ought to come home in front this morning.
Sunshine Silk is in the capable hands of Geoff Woodruff who will undoubtedly get a win out of the daughter of top sire Silvano, who has finished third in her last two races, here on the Classic track and then at Turffontein over seven furlongs when only beaten a length and three-quarters. Upped in trip to a mile plus here, she ought to show further improvement under the excellent Gavin Lerena, and if she builds on that as expected after just three races, then Sunshine Silk should prove very difficult to beat.
