Nick Shiambouros was on the mark yesterday when Make Time won easily at Salisbury. Nick turns his attentions to Newcastle and Chelmsford where he has two strong fancies to end his current stint in the tipping chair...
"He should get back to winning ways in this company, and represents good value at 5.79/2 on the exchange"
14:10 Newcastle - Zymyran
Zymyran should prove difficult to beat in this interesting contest.
This colt put in a much improved effort last time out when beating Celestial Spheres at Newcastle earlier this month. He took the lead inside the final furlong and scored with a bit to spare. I think this likeable individual has more to offer, and is fairly priced at 2.6613/8 on the exchange.
Springwood could give the selection most to do. He beat Law Power easily over this course last month, and the recent application of a visor has had a positive effect. He is currently trading at 4.94/1 on the exchange which is about right.
Davy's Dilemma is worth mentioning. He was not beaten all that far in a better race last time out and may have more to offer.
19:10 Chelmsford - Jumping Jack
Jumping Jack should go close in this nursery.
This gelding finished a respectable third to Fly At Dawn at HQ earlier this month. He ran on well inside the final furlong, but never had a realistic chance of catching the winner. This was a decent race and was not beaten all that far.
I think he is more effective on a synthetic surface and already has two nice victories to his name. He should get back to winning ways in this company, and represents good value at 5.79/2 on the exchange.
Under Control is the favourite at 2.789/5. He won a three runner maiden at Musselburgh earlier this month and does not look particularly well handicapped. His price is a little thin on what he has achieved so far.
