Timeform pick out three bets from Newmarket and Newbury on Thursday.
Poet's Society - 17:35 Newmarket
A closely-knot handicap, however it represents a drop in class for the likeable POET'S SOCIETY, who put in a good shift in a hot three-year-old handicap at York recently and will take some stopping off the same mark here. He's been kept busy this term but has looked as good as ever of late. Tahoo is marginally preferred to Excellent George and Compas Scoobie for forecast purposes.
Time Change - 18:50 Newbury
The Ralph Beckett-trained TIME CHANGE offered plenty to work on when runner-up to the well-touted Natural at Doncaster last month, and, with this slight step up in trip expected to suit, she gets the vote. There are at least a handful of interesting newcomers to consider though, headed by The Mums and Mahaarat, while the likes of She Believes, Moggy and Angel of the South have all shown some promise to date.
Sporting Times - 19:25 Newbury
The Ed Dunlop-trained SPORTING TIMES, a half-brother to Knightly Escapade out of a half-sister to Times Up, is clearly the type to improve further now his stamina is being tested all the more, so he's taken to follow-up his recent maiden success on handicap debut getting plenty of weight from older rivals. Recent Carlisle maiden winner Pilgrim's Treasure is respected, while this track should suit the Windsor winner Hollywood Road.
