South Africa SmartPlays: Thursday 28 March
...looks the one to beat here on the pick of his form..."
Timeform on Africa's Gold
Timeform pick out their three best bets from Vaal on Thursday...
Rock Manor - Vaal R2 (10:40 GMT)
Rock Manor out run his big odds when running to a fairly useful level to finish third over this C&D a fortnight ago, and he now looks the one to beat with improvement forthcoming. Bartholomeus looks next best on form and is also fancied to take a hand, while Toro Bravo is perhaps the most interesting other runner in the field.
Africa's Gold - Vaal R6 (12:50 GMT)
Africa's Gold has been very consistent since opening his account at this course in July last year and is well worth a try at this longer trip. He has shaped well over slightly shorter on his last two starts and looks the one to beat here on the pick of his form. Ryder is on a lengthy losing run but should prove competitive from this sort of mark, along with Master And Man.
Brookie - Vaal R7 (13:30 GMT)
Brookie has predominantly been running at Flamingo Park of late, but has been in good form, winning three times, and he shaped well in defeat there last time. He should remain competitive and is preferred to the likes of Two of Us and Leftrightgoodnight.
